My Shower is leaking, Help!

There are simpler ways to fix leaking showers than to demolish and re-tile them. Usually tilers remove the bottom row of wall tiles and the shower floor, then re-tile them. This is a good solution that costs the same if not cheaper than the Tile and grout sealing companies that profess to fix leaking showers as their sealers do not last forever. A few years at best. Sealing the grout only will not prevent mould from creeping to the surface either, an unsightly problem to be sure. I personally take a 2 pronged approach.
I remove the first row of tiles (often the client has no spares for their wall and floor tiles, which then the main goal when replacing the tiles is no-one will realise the showers were repaired and there are a few ways to do this even if we cannot find matching tiles. *refer to picture below where they had no spare tiles*)
After removal, i cut a small square hole into the fibro-cement sheeting that is exposed in the wall. I then point a portable heater at the cavity and leave it running for 2 days. What this does is dry out the walls, studs, and kills all mould from behind the tiles to the front of the tiles. Then i waterproof, tile, grout(epoxy or mould resistant grout depending on the clients choice), silicone and seal all grout *sealer last 5 years, and is easy for client to reapply after 5 years which i will demonstrate for them.

No mould ever again, and a permanently fixed shower that will not leak again.
